Yesterday I ran across two people talking about motivation. Which seemed fitting because I have been lacking in the motivation department here lately. Low and behold I found something that really made me think twice about motivation while I was working.  We were working on a story about the city trying to cut funds from the overall budget. One of those cuts might be the librarys hours. Therefore we went to a local library to get some video.   I decided to get my first shot of a row of books. In the middle of the books there was one book that was in focus. That book was titled positive thinking. What are the odds that I would see that one book. I didnt even look at what row I was on, nor did it really matter to the shot I was trying to get. But it all made sense when I saw it. Positive thinking is what can motivate me to do anything I set my mind to. Its amazing how much you can accomplish when you are in the right frame of mind. I can now say I am motivated again. So much so, that last night when I got home from my day job I picked up my paint brush and got motivated to paint. I also made a video blog for my YouTube channel. I hope to put that up tonight if I have time. It need a little editing. So in closing for me “Positive thinking has motivated me to be motivated…lol……..”

I was looking at the cedar count day and it confirmed my already sneaking suspicions, that yes I was sick in part due to the $8!**!! cedar allergens in the air.  Which is funny when you think about it because, one of the things I like to paint alot of are trees. But, if you notice my trees have no  pollen on them, nor are they cedar trees. I think my trees would probably represent an oak tree if I had to pick one. The tree in itself does’nt really matter for my purposes, it’s more of a symbolic gesture. A way of grounded everything to the earth. Oh yeah and did I mention that I am also allergic to everything that grows outside ( basically nature). This is even funnier if you think about it , because all of my paintings are based on NATURE, or at least some element of nature.  So in closing, the things that I love to paint, are the very things that I am allergic to.  Oh well at least I am able to type this from inside the house with a box of tissues on one side, and my latest Trees of Life painting on the other.
