WWMD(What Would MacGyver Do?)

About two weeks ago I broke one of my favorite paint brushes. Normally if this happens I just grab another one and move on. But I did not have another brush this size. It’s one that I use for very fine detail making lines smaller than a gnat’s behind or maybe a fly behind. Either way I think you get the point. I normally buy brushes from Jerry’s-Art-Arama or hobby lobby. Of course this did not matter, as it was late in the night and both stores were closed. Crap I thought, what the hell am I going to do. Bing, light bulb goes off, WWMD(what would MacGyver do). Grab some electrical tape and see if I can tape the two pieces together where the break happened.

Well I’ll be dammed it worked and on top of that I put tape on the end of the brush so I don’t get splinters when I put the paint brush in my mouth. So, now I have a new and improved brush that has held up for over a month. And its improved, due to the bite-able(my new word)…lol…end of electrical tape.

The funny thing is it bends a little when I paint with it but it works great. It kind of reminds me of the javelen Lamar used in Revenge of the Nerds. Weird looking, but perfectly made for the hand and aerodynamic for faster painting with no cramps in the hand. And I thought all those years of watching TV would never help me. Thank you MacGyver!
