Into the Wild

I am Cracker

I am Cracker

My wife and I were talking about our pets. And what were going to do when they die. I know fun conversation right. She was telling me how when she was a kid that her cats would always just disappear. Only to find out that they had died but her parents told her they ran away. So she concluded that when our oldest cat Cracker dies that I am to tell her that he ran away as to sort of ease the pain.

So I came up with one even better. I figured that each pet could leave a note that would read something like this.

Dear Mom and Dad,
While I have enjoyed my time on earth with you in your dwelling I have decided to venture into the wild. Several years ago while you were gone at work I rented the movie “Into The Wild,” on pay per view. Don’t be mad I was just really bored that day and was tired of sleeping all day. Not to mention I lost the plastic milk jug ring under the fridge so I had nothing to play with. Anyways back to the movie. Bottom line is this after watching that move I felt liked a trapped kitty in my glass house. This is why I feel that I must head out into the wild and get back to roots. To get back in touch with my wild side. To be free and pee wherever I want. Tell that nuisance of a dog that she wont ever have to be bothered by me ever again. I am on my way to a better place, and Im hoping to find a bus to call my own. One that I can tear up the seats with my back claws. Thanks for the good times, all those tummy rubs, hair brushings, and goodie treats. BTW, I hated the cat food you switched to towards the end. I was not FAT, I did not need weight watchers FOOD. Oops I digress. Mom I will always remember helping Dad propose to you, Im glad to be a part of it. Dad thanks for rescuing my from that crazy dog, I dont think I would have survived his teeth. And kids well Im just glad you did’nt pull my tail out. Now I must go out INTO THE WILD…..yours truely FireCracker.

Then I would put his little paw print on the paper to sign his name.
