Today I bagged up about 100 prints for an upcoming show this Saturday at AVAA headquarters, 3707 Home Lane. The event is from 10am-5pm……before I bagged up the prints I had to put my signature on each print. And after signing about 40 prints I realize why I print my name on the actual paintings. Because I suck at signing my own name. I’m not even sure if I know how to spell my own name anymore after tonight. But back to my signature. I’m not sure where I got to the point of not being able to sign my name but its kind of sad, considering that I can paint brush strokes smaller than the thickness of a hair. The even funnier thing about all of this is when I was in the bathroom taking care of business I was staring down at the bathroom rug and I spotted my name (DOUG) in bold, yet weavy cotton threads. I took that as a sign to keep printing my name for my actual signature when it comes to the original paintings…. NAUGLE

I think your signature is totally fine! We care more about the artwork anyway. Keep it up!
Thanks for being supportive! I will keep signing, or printing away…lol…:)
Hey Cody, thanks for message! I appreciate you taking the time to contact me and letting me know how much you like my work. The painting you speak of is called “Sunshower,” and is the first in the “Trees of Life” series that I am working on. And speaking of signatures the tree paintings I paint are kind of like my signature piece. I always go back to them.
Let me know if you would like to be updated via email about any upcoming shows or the normal goings on and endeavors by sending me an email via my website http://www.digdougsart.com and click on contact.
Thanks again for the message, I greatly appreciate it.
